Mills or Nine Men’s Morris is a two player strategy board game with main objective to reduce the opponent’s pieces to two and win the game. Game starts with an empty board. Each player has nine pieces (men) that are then placed on the board containing 24 intersections. Each player takes turn in placing one piece at a time. The objective is to form a horizontal or vertical line (mill) of three pieces after which the player that managed to create a mill removes one of the opponent’s pieces that is not already lined up. After the first phase of placing all nine pieces on the board, players continue to phase two where they can move one piece at a time on a neighboring free spot trying to create as many mills as possible. When a player is reduced to three pieces he can move one men on any free spot on the board. To win the game the opponent’s pieces must be reduced to two.
